Twelve real playable ads for mobile games, all made with Creatiles: six story playables, where the player makes the choices, and six 3D game playables built from real gameplay. They play here as silent recordings; every one can be played for real in our showcase.

What these examples have in common
- An install button on screen while they play. The call to action isn't saved for the end. Unity's Luna playable guide recommends a clear call to action throughout.
- Something to do in the first seconds. The game playables open with one instruction (“Tap the glowing green hole”); the story ones open on a hook that asks a question.
- One mechanic each. Steer, tap a hole, smash, sort or choose: never a tour of the whole game.
- Visible progress. Missions, counters and bars show how close the player is, which keeps them going to the end card.
- A label for AI-generated scenes. The story playables show an “AI modified” tag, because ad networks may require a disclosure for realistic AI-generated people or scenes. The game playables are built from gameplay.
- Portrait and short. Built for phones held upright; the recordings run 17 to 27 seconds.
Other kinds of playable ads
Beyond story choices and mechanic demos like these, playables are often built as a short level of the real game, a merge or a match, or a “fail” challenge the player is asked to beat. The right one depends on what makes the game fun in its first minute.
For how playables work, each network's file specs and what they cost, read the playable ads guide. To have one made from your game, see playable ad production.
